Most people learned that because of their disobedience to God (Jehovah) we live long-suffering lives. This brings forth the question of Religious. What is the meaning of religious? According to experiencing the worldââ¬â¢s religions: Tradition, challenge, and change ââ¬Å"Religion is a way of life founded upon the apprehension of sacredness in existence. p. 5 Molloy, M. (2010). Religion is something taught to some people when they were growing up as a child, or sometimes people do not learn about religious until they grow up as adults. When I studied with Jehovahââ¬â¢s witnesses I learned that their beliefs where different from Baptist beliefs. Jehovahââ¬â¢s believe that if someone in the congregation commits adultery or are caught committing a sin of any kind he or she is dis-fellowship from the congregation. I disagree with this belief because Baptist believes he who has not sinned cast the first stone, and that people are not to judge each other for their sins. Jehovahââ¬â¢s witnesses believe that holidays, such as Christmas, Halloween, Easter, and Birthdays are paganistic holidays. Nevertheless, Baptist believes that Christmas is the day Jesus was born, and Easter is the day he rose from the grave. Although both of these religious believe in God, they both have their own scared traditions and studies. In knowing the difference between belief, being sacred, and being religious we develop our own sense of what we want to know and trust, to bring truth to our lives.
